Revisiting What Will You Do In 22'
Back in January we took some time to consider what this year is going to look like for us. Some of us reflected on how 2021 went and used that as a metric to set the path for 2022. Others of us decided that 2022 is going to represent a jumping-off point to go in a new direction. For some, more time was needed to determine what 2022 is going to look like. In Thumos we don’t leave men behind. We want to make 2022 better than 2021 both individually and collectively as a community. That said, it’s time to do a check-in around how each of us is progressing towards the vision, mission, goals, and intentions that we have for 2022.
It’s hard to believe that it has already been a third of year since we kicked off 2022. If nothing else, that should serve to remind us how quickly time passes. As you reflect on where you have come in that 4 months’ time, consider the following questions:
- Is my original vision/direction still valid today?
- Am I making progress toward realizing my 2022 vision?
- Have circumstances changed to alter my 2022 vision? If so, have I pivoted and progressed or have I stalled?
- Has the progress toward my 2022 vision been minimal or zero? If so, what factors might have contributed to the lack of progress?
Upon analyzing our progress, the responses will range from zero progress to incredible ah-ha’s. It is important to remember that each man’s path is perfect for that man. Where a man is on his journey is also perfect. That means if you have made tremendous progress toward your 2022 vision, that is great and there is more for you to learn and grow in. It also means that if you have made zero progress toward your 2022 vision, that is great and there is more for you to learn and grow in. If you have made progress, please come prepared to share your wins and any ah-ha’s you have experienced. If you have made little to no progress, that’s okay too. Come prepared to be real and share why you haven’t made much progress. I guarantee you that whatever level of progress you have made, there is another man in the group that is likely in a similar place and will benefit from hearing your story.
